This event is taking place in support of the Radical Accessibility Audit Project (RAAP), a collaboration between CURE and Accessibilize Montreal. It’s an initiative to document the accessibility of urban spaces, so that we as a community can make informed decisions when attending and organizing events. Let’s prioritize spaces that are accessible and push to accessibilize those that are not!

How does Audit-A-Thon Work?

  • Participants gather and get a brief intro to RAAP and how to do an accessibility audit.
  • Everyone goes out in groups of 2-3 to perform simultaneous audits on different locations nearby. Bring your friends and get a team together!
  • Once the audits are completed, we’ll regroup for a quick debrief, drinks and snacks.

Dates and Location

  • Date: Wednesday, February 15 2017 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
  • Location: Concordia Loyola Campus 7141 Rue Sherbrooke O, Montréal, QC H4B 1R6.
  • Meeting place: Guadagni Lounge (G-Lounge), room CC-408.

A note: Since the point of this event is to collect accessibility information, we can’t guarantee in advance that the entire auditing process will be accessible to everyone, however we encourage those who wish to attend the event to let us know about any access needs and to get in touch with specific concerns. We’ll do our best to make sure everyone can participate.

*** Free food, coffee and hot chocolate! ***

This event is organized by CURE Concordia in collaboration with Accessibilize Montreal and with the support of QPIRG Concordia and the Concordia Student Union.
