So, you want to join our board? We’d love to welcome you into the CURE team! If you’ve only heard a little bit about us, CURE (aka The Community University Research Exchange) is a fee-levy student group at Concordia that connects community-based research initiatives with students, researchers and really anyone else who is interested in research. At CURE, we believe in knowledge being accessible to all, and we aim to create and sustain environments for knowledge building and sharing. We are also passionate about research that makes a real change in people’s lives, while increasing the capacity of community organizations to delve deeper into the invaluable work they are doing.
Joining our board is a great way to:
-Be involved in CURE even if research isn’t your thing/ isn’t what you want to be doing right now,
-Learn the ins and outs of non-profit community organizing,
-Gain experience structuring a non-profit community organization,
-Gain experience supporting the management of projects,
-Have networking opportunities where you can meet others with similar interests!
