The Community-University Research Exchange (CURE) promotes community-driven social justice research.
We foster collaborations between university students and grassroots community groups working for social change. Groups can submit research requests or project proposals and students can undertake those projects, often for class credit. By facilitating meaningful exchanges between students and activists, CURE strives to redefine the boundary between the university and the communities that surround it. PROJECT: Environmental & Social Impact of Computer Re-use and Ethical E-waste Recycling
TechnoLibre (or Free Geek Montreal) is a community centre focused on hardware education, e-waste recycling/reuse and increasing accessibility of technology. Our goal is to collect donations of old computers, refurbish and reuse whatever possible for donation and low-cost re-sale, and ethically recycle the rest.

PROJECT: Making Profits with War: Canadian Corporations in Colombia
Projet Accompagnement Solidarité Colombie (PASC) is a radical Montreal non-profit that sends international witnesses to Colombian peasant communities in order to bring support to these communities, to affirm their rights as civil populations living within a war zone, and to support their efforts in claiming their rights to land and self-determination.
