CURE CONCORDIA IS HIRING A CO-COORDINATOR

**permanent, part-time position**
**open to everyone**
**deadline July 4th at 5:00pm**

ABOUT CURE CONCORDIA

The Community-University Research Exchange (CURE) promotes community-driven social justice research. We take research and project requests from grassroots community groups working for social change and do outreach at the university to encourage students and professors to work on the community projects as part of their academic work.

Students can receive class credit for the work they do and community organizations gain greater access to the knowledge and resources circulating in the academic sphere. Community groups can make diverse requests and projects may relate to the myriad skills learned at the university, including traditional research, creative arts, computer programming, accounting and more…

Our mandate is grounded in principles of community accountability and collective empowerment. We work within an anti-oppression framework and strive avoid the pitfalls associated with academic research by validating grassroots knowledge and allowing community organizations to define and have autonomy over their research needs.

For more information about CURE’s mandate or examples of current projects, please check out the about section of our website.
